Frankfurt am Main, August 2025 – The Weseler Werft once again transformed into a spectacular stage for the annual European Open Air concert, drawing thousands of music lovers to the banks of the Main and an even larger audience via live broadcast.

As in previous years, CamCat-Systems was among the technical teams behind the production, with its CAMCAT® colibri cable camera system, once again playing a central role in capturing the grandeur of the event.

With its riverside location, vast audience area, and impressive stage design, the European Open Air poses unique challenges for broadcast coverage. Traditional cameras alone cannot always convey the scale of the concert or its atmospheric connection to the Frankfurt skyline. To meet this demand, Camcat Systems deployed its compact Colibri system - a professional cable camera engineered for dynamic yet discreet live coverage.

The Europa Open Air, performed by the Frankfurt Radio Symphony and Ensemble Modern, is a highlight of the city’s cultural calendar. For CamCat-Systems, contributing to it's broadcast was an opportunity to showcase how innovative camera technology can elevate the storytelling of live music.

As the final notes faded over the Main, both concertgoers and viewers at home shared the same impression: a performance not only heard, but also seen in a way that captured the true spirit of Frankfurt’s open-air tradition.
